Bright & Savage Design – By Hommés Studio & ACH Collection

Bright & Savage seems like an unusual word combination, however, if you mixed them together, amazing things can happen, mostly when it comes to interior design!
That was the reason why Bright and Savage Design was born, a quiet and bold corner that hassuccessfully combined several styles, textures, and patterns.

Bright Design means color, means gold details, and mirrors unique aesthetics. This is exactly whatthis corner set wants to tell! Once you have color, you have personality, once there’s gold andmarble, there’s elegance.

Orgue Floor Lamp is the first one and this piece must have its place as an elegant floor lamp, perfectly designed for this set. It is possible to see how Martinez Wall Mirror makes all thedifference in this design set, the wall looks much more complete and distinct.

Ajui Armchair means comfort and this interior design piece is the perfect accent to any livingproject! A curious thing about Ajui is that he is an artsy interpretation of a cactus and a swivelbase, which makes this armchair a unique design piece.

Playing with function and sculptural form, the Pietra table shapes a timeless experience through its classical aura and finest Estremoz white marble.

Covering the entire luxury entryway, on both sides, the iconic and exclusive Heritage Sideboard brings color to an almost monochromatic environment. Composed of carefully hand-painted tiles, this is a design that tells a story, through an ancient Portuguese technic. On the walls, large round mirrors with gold frames, that were specially designed for the client, give the space dimension and the Midas touch that connects everything.

Lady Jane

GAMMA & BROSS, 2021

Product Design | Beauty

Designed to be as luxurious as it is versatile, the Lady Jane Collection displays a classic scene as the ensemble of high end salon equipment and beauty furniture transforms a salon into a dreamy, artistic spa oasis.

We created this collection to enable any salon to be transformed into a destination. The design of the pieces reflects the human body at rest, allowing guests to discover beauty while being made beautiful themselves” – Marcel Wanders.

The collection includes an island station, a styling salon chair, shampoo unit with basin, rolling trolleys, a variety of mirrors and a reception desk. The furniture upholstery presents a stitched floral relief that endorses a visual and physical feeling of depth to the guest. All frames and metal pulls are coated in either gold, chrome or matt black colours. Designed with soft and poetic curves, precise silhouettes, rich details and versatile accessories, the pieces create an elegant and welcoming interior. Offering functionality that uplifts the human spirit, this collection is a fresh breeze in the field of professional equipment.

With continued references to fine art, feminism, and her Italian heritage, Maria Grazia Chiuri presents a fully immersive and awe-inspiring show for Dior‘s 2021 collection.

For Dior’s first in-person show since the COVID-19 pandemic rocked the luxury fashion world, Maria Grazia Chiuri made sure to leave her socially-distanced guests with an event to remember. While the creative director often champions female artists (her recent couture collection referenced Dora Maar and Leonora Carrington in its goddess-like garments), Chiuri’s latest presentation uses collage art as its awe-inspiring backdrop of this fashion show.

Dior’s spring-summer 2021 ready-to-wear collection may have been staged at the Jardin des Tuileries as part of Paris Fashion Week, but the creative inspiration was pure Italian. Having recently shown her cruise 2021 collection in Lecce, Puglia, where her father grew up, Chiuri has connected with her heritage again by tapping several Italian talents for this new collection.

First is Lucia Marcucci, a contemporary artist best known for her female-centric collages, which began drawing attention in the 1960s. Approaching her practice like avant-garde poetry, Marcucci not only combines newspaper cutouts and other two-dimensional media, but she also weaves various film clips together in poignant video works in this Dior runway.

The clashing patterns and colors produce a kaleidoscopic effect, much like Marcucci’s stained-glass collages and the choir’s fragmented verses. Somehow, it all works, perfectly encapsulating Chiuri’s ongoing desire to charm and expand her audience’s knowledge through some of the most innovative presentations, compelling narratives, and nuanced influences that the fashion industry has ever seen. Maison Matisse is a French brand that made its debut at the Fiac fair of Paris in autumn 2019, celebrating the artist’s 150th anniversary with a surprising showcase. Founded by the painter’s great-great-grandson, its very first collection of original pieces were designed by the Bouroullec brothers, Jaime Hayon, and Alessandro Mendini (among his last projects). Now in 2020, Cristina Celestino joins the family.

The idea was as simple as it was efficient, bringing the maestro’s colorful joie de vivre as one of the Fauves into contemporary production, with objects for important homes and appealing prices, both in limited editions and not. The series was followed with the La Musique collection, crafted by the young French-Polish designer Marta Bakowski, who drew inspiration from the famous painting by the same name completed in 1939. For the label’s next event, we make our way to Paris Design Week, where the Maison presented its latest collaboration with Italy’s very own Cristina Celestino.

To complement the furniture, Cristina Celestino designed the Belle épine floor cushion to add an Orientalist touch to the set. It is made up of 3 cushions that are attached using 6 buttons that give them a quilted appearance.  The fabric used for this piece uses the same lampas with the all-over print that is also used for the armchairs, sofas, and folding screens.
