Milan Design Week has made its return. Marcel Wanders MILAN DESIGN WEEK 2022

After two years, the famous Milan Design Week has made its return. Marcel Wanders studio had the honour to introduce new, bold and unique designs in collaboration with FENDI CasaFLOSUp To You AnthologyFIAMNatuzziDevon&Devon and Sahrai.

Designs by the studio were also to be seen at MoooiQeeboo, and Objets Nomades exhibition by Louis Vuitton.

Marcel Wanders studio’s first collection for FENDI Casa subtly translates signature design elements found in the FENDI fashion archives into an elegant interior setting. By adapting a metaphysical approach in the creation of these pieces, inspiration was drawn from Italian heritage, embracing its rich art, culture and craftsmanship using locally sourced glass, stone and textiles. This extensive collection consists of two mirrors, dining table, arm and lounge chairs, bed, sofa, as well as a sub-collection of lamps, exquisitely crafted with Murano glass.

The studio also proudly presented its newest creation for FLOS, Skynest. By weaving filaments of light, this unique lamp seamlessly combines both elegance and innovation.

Delicate textile tubes, integrated with LED lights, reminiscent of thread, are woven throughout the design of the lamp; creating a unique element of surprise, which challenges the bulb lighting archetype. This beautifully innovative lamp is available in four different colourways and in various models including Pendant, Ceiling, Wall and Ceiling to Floor variants.

“We are poets, secretly engineering” – Marcel Wanders, Creative Director, Marcel Wanders studio on Skynest Marcel Wanders studio also launched two new handbags in collaboration with Up To You Anthology: New Classic and Bouquet. This innovative brand creates unique designer bags originated from the creative energy of the most visionary talents in Architecture, Design and Art worldwide, and handcrafted by the best Italian artisans.

The Cristaline dining table designed for FIAM exemplifies subtle beauty and grace by experimenting with the unique technology of melting and forming glass, to create an intricate surface pattern which illustrates geometry and nature through a complex floral pattern translated to an elegant dining table.

Marcel Wanders studio celebrated the launch of its fourth collaboration with Natuzzi. Presenting the Adam collection, with a focus represented by the Adam sofa, born from the desire to integrate sustainable materials with a timeless design inspired by Puglia. Part of the Adam collection are also a dining table and coffee tables made from wood, giving a natural and handcrafted appearance to complete a luxury interior setting.

“We designed this collection not only to reflect on the Puglia region’s natural elements and rich artisanal history, but to give the Natuzzi sofa a second life” – Gabriele Chiave, Creative Director, Marcel Wanders studio The Secret Gardens collection designed for Devon&Devon was created with a holistic and poetic creative approach.

Individual elements are all dressed in a seamlessly flowing design and, when placed together, create remarkably immersive settings that produce dreamlike spaces. The first collection in collaboration with the brand consists of wallpapers and small and large ceramic decor slabs (all available in an array of different shades and patterns), a vanity table, three mirrors and a range of ceramic accessories.

“Devon&Devon collection aims to seamlessly connect the words between surfaces and objects, creating a magical illusion of being in a dream made of flowers and nature”. – Gabriele Chiave, Creative Director, Marcel Wanders studio

The limited edition Kaleido of Life Collection for Sahrai, includes three finely handknotted rugs in natural silk and wool. In this collection, Marcel Wanders studio had the freedom to design on a large scale artwork to create impressively massive textile pieces. The rugs are inspired by the natural elements: air (Lush), water (Allure) and earth (Charm). Each of the three elements is depicted through a computerized graphic creativity, which plays with the sensuality of natural forms.

Regarded by many as an anomaly in the design world, Marcel Wanders studio has made its mission to “create an environment of love, live with passion and make our most exciting dreams come true.” The studio’s work excites, provokes, and polarises, but never fails to surprise for its ingenuity, daring and singular quest to uplift the human spirit, and entertain.

The studio’s chief concern is to bring the human touch back to design, ushering in a ‘new age of design’, in which designer, craftsperson and user are reunited. In this process, Marcel Wanders studio defies design dogma, preferring instead to focus on holistic solutions rather than the technocratic. In this universe, the coldness of industrialism is replaced instead by the poetry, fantasy and romance of different ages, vividly brought to life in the contemporary moment. www.marcelwanders.com

Minotti 2022 Hospitality Vision – Waterrock Boutique Hotel and Villas Video

Minotti’s hospitality vision is increasingly evolving in terms of its design and stylistic language, giving shape, as every year, to a new and exclusive virtual project. 2022 sees the arrival of “Waterrock Boutique Hotel and Villas”, a concept that interprets the current trends of contemporary living in the residential and high-end hospitality sectors.

The new project is ideally located in a natural Mediterranean setting, lying on a coastal hilly area and offering panoramic sea views; a fascinating location designed to act as a new backdrop and maximise the dialogue between indoor and outdoor spaces and between furnishing pieces and architecture, values at the heart of the 2022 Collection.

The architectural style and materials used are closely linked to the spirit of the new collection, in absolute harmony with the mood proposed last year, in the sophisticated contrast between exposed concrete and satin-finish steel, scratched wood, lacquers and mirrored surfaces.

The spaces on offer combine the elements of the history of architecture ranging from Rationalism to Mid-Century American taste through to Brutalism, to give shape to picturesque atmospheres, the same ones that distinguish the style and identity of the brand in different contexts.

The main building in the complex is the Waterrock Boutique Hotel, home to three different areas dedicated to conviviality: the Ishi Bar, the Mizu spa and the Oleander Grill restaurant, spaces whose names refer to the Orient and its elegant and minimal atmospheres.

The lounge of the boutique hotel is animated by two different seating systems, both designed by Rodolfo Dordoni: Twiggy, which stands out thanks to its rigorous geometric shapes and the sophisticated sartorial flavour of tone-on-tone stitching, and Goodman which, available in various configurations, has compact, comfortable volumes capable of adapting to the space and needs of the individual living there.

The indoor environments of the Ishi Bar, on the other hand, see the alternation of areas dedicated to conviviality with the Twiggy seating system with informal dining areas with the Sendai lounge little armchairs, combined with the Oliver lounge tables, recreating a harmonious, enveloping atmosphere that extends to open spaces, set up with the elegant simplicity of the Yoko Cord Outdoor designed by Inoda+Sveje seats and the Patio Teak modular seating system by GamFratesi.

Suspended between inside and outside, the relaxation area at the Mizu spa is furnished with pieces that reaffirm the flexibility and transversal nature of Minotti furnishings, such as the Horizonte indoor seating system by Marcio Kogan / studio mk27 and the Patio system accompanied by the Belt Cord Outdoor seats, perfect for creating an atmosphere of welcoming intimacy in the poolside area. In the adjacent one, dedicated to relaxation, the Florida seating system not only furnishes but also defines the paths of the open-air space.

Large panoramic windows and perforated concrete partitions allow a glimpse of the landscape and its light, while the alternation of steel and lacquered surfaces in bright colours bring to mind a reinterpretation of contemporary, helping to create dynamic contrasts that become architecture.

In the Oleander Grill, the atmosphere is consistent with the Minotti language, capable of enhancing the projects and the different stylistic and cultural identities of the designers behind the collection. In this environment, the dining areas, both indoor and outdoor, are punctuated by relaxation islands in a continuous back and forth, with no interruptions, between inside and outside, between areas for conversation, work and hospitality.

Inside, the Lars and Sendai sofas alternate with the Linha Fina tables and the Yoko dining little armchairs, while the outside with the Bellagio tables and the Belt Cord Outdoor armchairs is instead characterised by the bright colours of the outdoor fabrics, inspired by nature and perfectly in harmony with the open-air space that hosts them.

The Waterrock Boutique Hotel is flanked by three different types of villas immersed in the landscape – Lotus Tree, Maple Tree and Cherry Tree – buildings differing in size, but united by the ability to accommodate the pieces from the 2022 Collection to best express the mood and eclecticism of the furnishings in different contexts.

Innovative designs with natural stones at Casa Decor 2022

Marble, granite and quartzite are materials chosen by a good number of professionals at Casa Decor 2022 to give a unique touch to their spaces. Capable of transforming any room in the house into a personal and stylish environment, natural stones have become an essential material in the world of interior design, not only for covering floors and walls or making countertops, but also for shaping pieces with great personality and beauty.

This year, moreover, committed to the #CasaDecorSustainable campaign,  initiated at  Casa Decor 2020  to promote sustainability, the majority of participating companies are taking part in the Exhibition with a wide range of products produced with organic, renewable, recyclable and biodisposable raw materials, as well as as with recycled materials, without losing its decorative appeal. Here we present some of the designs that are setting trends.

MarbleSpain, warmth and beauty

A multitude of projects in collaboration with hundreds of architects, interior designers and decorators have made the members of Stone Capture by Marmolspain, infallible  “advisors in natural stone” . In this edition of Casa Decor, several participating professionals have found in the stones of this Spanish firm an excellent point of support to give that special touch in the decoration of their spaces.

The Casa Decor “New Eclipse” Auditorium , designed by Miriam Alía for the Technogym firm, was born with the idea of projecting a different sensitivity and returning to essential and intrinsic needs: the energy of the sun and our well-being. To achieve that tranquility in the space, the designer has chosen a palette of warm tones among her materials, so the Miele Onyx from MarmolSpain used in the presentation table makes this a very special piece in keeping with the tones of the space.

For the firm Ron Matusalem on its 150th anniversary, Marta Sánchez Zornoza has created a sensory project that takes us to the Caribbean. In this space, the natural stone of MarmolSpain has become the main element, chosen by the decorator in shades of tan, green and white that evoke liquor, the sea and light. Using the Ungravity Sistem cutting technique , a system that allows thicknesses of between 6 and 12 mm to be obtained, reducing the weight of the stone for its application on walls and furniture, with the Purple Vulcano and Red Onyx models, the bench, tasting tables and the walls and ceiling. While, the Pakistan Green Onyxand the backlit White Onyx , shine on the bottle racks and the counter, respectively.

Cupa Stone, sustainable and ecological

For Cupa Stone, Casa Decor 2022 will be its fifth consecutive participation. As in previous editions, the materials of this expert company in natural stone is present with its products that, based on a noble and ecological material such as natural stone, have become benchmarks in the broad sector of interior design. This year, the brand shows unique and innovative materials from its catalog in two Exhibition Spaces.

The interior designers Meritxell Ribé and Josep Puigdoménech, creative directors at  The Room Studio,  have created a multipurpose space  that can perfectly be located in  a hotel hall,   in a  private home  or in a  public place. This multipurpose space creates a perfect balance between the modernity of its design and the elegance of the Cupa Stone natural stone. From the Calacatta Viola of the countertop, through the floor in Caliza Blanco Paloma, to the wall in Caliza Campaspero, natural stone helps to create a unique and aesthetically matchless space.

The Bang & Olufsen “Home Cinema” Space, designed by Cristina Remírez and Jerome Le Fouillé of Disak Studio , is inspired by the exclusivity of details, like the interior of a high-end car, where the fusion between noble materials , such as leather, wood and natural stone, among others, reflect quality and comfort”. The timeless, sophisticated and elegant style of the space can be seen in the countertop of the wine cellar, made of Iron Red granite in a spectacular shade of red with black and white veining.

Marble Sun, dreamlike textures

Fran Casinello , at the head of the Mandalay studio, has designed the Flamme Rouge suite, which is pure emotion. Without following any trend, they offer us an impressive, daring and timeless space, full of pure lines contrasted with very powerful organic touches. At the back of the space, a  daytime bathroom area has been created, in which a pair of Indra Onix washbasins have been placed, from the exclusive Infinity series in a Mirror finish, superimposed on the back, also in onyx. Its pattern of lights and shadows, the result of its translucent composition, make this material the cornerstone of the design. The pure and crystalline white of this backlit onyx, with an almost dreamlike texture, provides a touch of elegance and distinction to the space.

Cristina Espejo and Marta Goyanes have created a large bathroom designed as a space to spend many moments dedicated to our physical and emotional well-being. In the washbasin area, a piece of furniture designed for Strohm has been placed, in matte nickel-effect sheet metal and a stone countertop, by Mármoles Sol, which contrasts with the dark wood niches.

Levantina, large format natural stone

For more than a decade Levantina has been making its exclusive products available to the professionals who participate in Casa Decor to help them create unique, welcoming and impressive settings. Floors, walls, countertops, tables and decorative objects made with natural stone and the large-format Techlam porcelain tile.

In the COAATM space  The technical architect and the art of dissecting,  César Ávila Rodríguez , from CA Interiorismo, has created a calm bathroom with great visual power that allows one to see the artisanal and manual part of the various layers of the construction process. In this space,  Levantina has been responsible for covering the bathroom with an elegant floor and a wide skirting board in Staccato natural stone , one of Naturamia’s new proposals,  whose veins and patterns offer a prominent presence in the space.

The Bao Proyectos team has been in charge of creating the Oplontis kitchen for the firm Asko, an elegant and minimalist space, in which the central island stands out, for which the Syrah countertop , from the Naturamia collection , has been chosen. Gray, brown, ocher and reddish tones give life to the oxidized and industrial aesthetic characteristic of this quartzite that combines the typical colors of corten steel with the beauty of a rocky and natural landscape, merging with the space in perfect harmony.

« Living the future », the space created by  Simona Garufi for the Thermomix firm  , is a living room with a futuristic kitchen, which looks like the interior of a spaceship. To cover the floor of this futuristic environment, the interior designer has chosen the luminous and timeless  Crystallo, which recalls the delicate appearance of marble. It is a Techlam porcelain tile with a white surface traversed by imperfect and delicate curved lines, which transports the visitor to the surface of a planet.

Nasrid spaces, elegance and naturalness

This firm from Granada stands out for working with materials as was done in past centuries, according to ancient craft techniques, with which it manages to capture the beauty and showiness of materials from other times. It is also a form of ecological construction, with walls, floors and ceilings that breathe freely, in harmony with the environment, free of plastics and polluting chemical agents.

A marvelous Mediterranean limestone floor extends throughout the Technogym Space, designed by Miriam Alía. It is an asymmetrical exploded view , in perfect harmony with the marked deconstructivist trend that Miriam Alía has imagined in the design process of the Casa Decor 2002 Auditorium.

“InspiraciOHM 180º” is the space that Strohm Teka presents at Casa Decor 2022, by the interior design studio Espejo & Goyanes. The vaulted area for the shower moment has a spectacular geometric floor with limestone cutting, produced by Espacios Nazaríes, which is completed with a handmade skirting board with an old “Rojo Torcal” marble.

Cuellar Stone, natural stone in 3D

This leading company in 3D stone projects and products comes to Casa Decor for the first time to show the infinite possibilities that natural stone and compact surfaces offer in the world of interior design. Its innovative application in furniture, organic murals and design elements is raising great expectations among visitors to our Exhibition.

“A dream experience”, is the hotel suite designed by Estudio   Muher as a corner of experiences through sensations, twists and textures found in nature. In the bathroom area, the shower made entirely of white Macael marble stands out, showing its different applications and textures. This material has been used both for the cladding, in a honed finish, and for the shower tray, in a sandblasted finish. Also in the cladding, a decorative relief in the form of a flower stands out, giving the space uniqueness and exclusivity.

With the modular and versatile furniture from the firm Tegar Mobel, the Madrid interior designer Jose Lara recreates ” Tegar Urban Stay “, a complete apartment in just  24 m2. Looking for design and functionality, on the wall facing the social area of the apartment stands out a textured limestone cladding that houses the television, providing elegance and practicality to the environment.

¡

Miapetra, convex sinks

With its unique and unrepeatable designs, this Segovian firm, which is characterized by the innovation of its sinks made of natural stone, has been part of our Exhibition since the Casa Decor 2019 edition.

At Casa Decor 2022, he collaborates on the public toilets on the ground floor, “A roman bath” designed by Somos2Studio. Its new De he ZYL Convex models preside over the washbasin area, with a unique design characterized by its simple and elegant lines, which does not go unnoticed by visitors to the Exhibition. With this new model, the relationship of respect and care for nature as well as for the traditions and craftsmanship that characterize this firm are reflected even more intensely, if possible.

LUXXU’s latest project reinvents modern design with an Arabian twist and keeps it majestic. The inspiration behind it can be seen in the high ceilings, arched arches, and intricate prints, while the furnishings and lighting bring the finest of modern luxury. The Meraki Palace in Qatar is an ode to luxury, demonstrating LUXXU’s ability to take on any project.

Modern Design at Meraki Palace In Qatar Features Wondrous Divisions

ENTRYWAY

The entrance to the Meraki Palace is guarded by an elegant golden gate. The arched entrances, as well as the embellishments and patterned floor, display the Arabian influences. The white walls contrast with the golden accents, revealing the interior’s richness. LUXXU chose the Babel Chandelier to make a statement since as a lighting fixture, it features delicacy through its crystal teardrop glass and as well as a tremendous presence.

The Nubian Console is an enriched quintessence of luxury and exquisite elegance that pairs perfectly with the gold-plated brass. Two Tenor Ottomans with the best upholstery were placed to complement the entryway. Even the door design was taken into consideration, and the PullCast‘s Brubeck Door Handle complements the decor while pointing the way to the other rooms.

HALLWAY

Meraki Palace In Qatar: Feel The Modern Design With An Arabian Touch

This hallway features high ceilings with geometric embellishments, arched windows, and one of the most premium materials: Carrara marble. A door embellished with the Brubeck Door Handle by PullCast opens the way to the big dining room over this exquisite stone. While we make our way there, we can see, on opposite walls, that the Pharo II Small Wall Lamp shines brightly, exuding a subtle beauty that transcends.

As magnificent as this home is, the furniture choices could only reflect that, thus the Myllo Console was chosen – a spectacular piece with noble materials that exceeds all expectations in any space. The Nubian Ottoman, on its opposite side, adds to the decor thanks to its style that complements flawlessly with the Warao Rug from Rug’Society.

DINING ROOM

Meraki Palace In Qatar: Feel The Modern Design With An Arabian Touch

Neutral tones are classic and provide a relaxing environment to this dining area which combines soothing grey tones with blue hues to create a sense of grace, with just a hint of luxury provided by the gold embellishments. The Algerone Rectangular Dining Table takes the lead, showcasing the strength and traditional appeal of Statuario marble while perfectly complementing the Saboteur Dining Chair. With its gold-plated brass and crystal glass, the Pharo Chandelier creates a regal mood while beautifully contrasting with the main color palette. The Saboteur Single Sofa, in a soothing blue, mixes wonderfully with the Rug’Society‘s Warao Rug beside the arched windows.

MYSA‘s Suspicion Side Table, sculpted in Carrara marble, complements the Carrara marble walls while contrasting with the Pharo III Table Lamp. The Pharo II Wall Lamp, on the other hand, illuminates the patterned wall, giving the room an air of refinement. Finally, the dining room set is only complete when the Myllo Console is coupled with the poetic Scala Mirror, making a dramatic statement. Pull the Brubeck Door Handle from PullCast to exit this grand dining area, which adds the ultimate touch of elegance, and advance to the next room!

LIVING ROOM

Meraki Palace In Qatar: Feel The Modern Design With An Arabian Touch

This living room’s pleasant color combination exudes a sense of tranquillity while maintaining a vibrant flair. The Thomson Sofa combines timeless elements and high-end materials to create the ideal upholstery solution. The Surma Rug from Rug’Society pairs nicely with the pillows on the sofa, establishing complete harmony between all of the pieces. The Empire I Set Center Table, a modular two-piece round table that celebrates the aesthetics of LUXXU‘s most renowned collection, takes center stage in the space. The little table from the Empire III Set Center Table was utilized as a side table to contrast with the sofa and the Needle Table Lamp, which features a simple design that never goes out of style!

LUXXU chose the Babel II Suspension Lamp for the high-ceiling, a blend of luxuriant crystals and high-quality gold plated brass, for the lighting of this living area. The Babel Wall Lamp, with its crystals, adds the same delicacy to the walls. Not only that but a custom Empire Mirror is placed above the fireplace, which completes the look, creating the ultimate statement with LUXXU’s most recognizable lines.

With classic elements and the comfort that only the Charla Collection can deliver, the Charla Bed makes an amazing statement – and the pillows are a perfect complement for the Charla Ottoman. Thanks to the ageless lines, the Charla Nightstand stands out and it’s easy to see why it’s part of the same collection!

The Pharo Collection was suitable for the lighting option since it represents the rupture from darkness and it matches the gold features from the screen wall divider, with an incredible, dazzling, and magnificent shine. The Pharo II Suspension illuminates the bed, while the Pharo III Small Wall Lamp adds a touch of elegance to the walls. The Pharo III Table Lamp, of course, is ideal for bedside lighting. The Beyond Console, composed of the finest materials, blends in harmoniously with the environment.

Meraki Palace In Qatar: Feel The Modern Design With An Arabian Touch

The Meraki Palace is all about family and giving them the best possible comfort. The twins’ bedroom embodies this, as it provides twice the comfort and style! The Charla Single Bed has the same comfort and limitless elegance as its predecessor and is wonderfully complemented by the Empire Collection‘s premium materials nightstand. The Pharo Small Pendant and the Pharo Small Wall Lamp add a splash of color to the space, which contrasts nicely with the calm color scheme of the bedroom, which is accentuated by the Surma Rug from Rug’Society.

INDOOR POOL

Meraki Palace In Qatar: Feel The Modern Design With An Arabian Touch

The Meraki Pace’s indoor pool area is its crowning glory, and it’s the perfect place to immerse yourself in the ultimate lifestyle. MYSA Outdoor was chosen to bring the art of lounging back to life. The Hampton Wood Armchair provides the necessary comfort for lounging by the pool, and it pairs well with the Suspicion Side Table, which is sculpted in Carrara marble and lined with polished stainless steel, making it long-lasting and the most appropriate for this space.

However, the room would be incomplete without sun loungers, and the Hampton Sunlounger appears to be specifically built for this setting. This luxury space, which follows the same gold theme as the rest of the palace, features some LUXXU items, such as the Beyond console, which elegantly merges marble and gold as it matches with the Orbis Mirror and the Pharo III tiny wall lamp.

Living rooms and living areas at Casa Decor 2022

04 / 13 / 2022

We continue walking through the spaces of Casa Decor 2022. On this occasion, we want to show you the nine projects, between lounges and living areas , that the participating professionals have devised in this edition. In all of them, you will be able to see how the new trends in decoration and interior design come with groundbreaking ideas, without fear of color or innovative textures, supported by companies and firms in the sector with a vision of the future. Also, we have been able to verify how technology merges without fanfare with craftsmanship, design and art to give free rein to social environments full of comfort and personality, which adapt perfectly to our daily world. They will surprise you!

Nometri Space

On the first floor of the Goya 89 building is Rosa Mexicano,  the space designed by Ana Mª Fernández,  from  Nometri. The interior designer has been inspired by Luis Barragán  to pay homage to color , so that it is possible to feel the energy and presence of the renowned Mexican engineer and architect.

Around this exaltation of color, we find the walls decorated with pictorial works by artists such as Brenda Fridman, Leticia Mezzetta and Débora Sánchez Viqueira, as well as design pieces in the form of sculptures such as the wall radiator, by Tubes Radiatori, and the figures of porcelain that mark the stairs. Different expressions that are added in a multidisciplinary space, which serves as a living room, dining room, art gallery and study.

The dining area is especially cozy, with Momocca furniture arranged on a Kuatro Carpets rug. Here, we also find outstanding contemporary artistic representations such as the small sculpture by Pablo Pérez Ramos, on the table, and the wall sculpture, by Domus NO.4. This space also highlights a studied technical and decorative lighting project that contributes to creating a welcoming effect.

Jaime Jurado Space

With a career spanning more than 20 years in the world of art and interior design, Jaime Jurado not only creates relaxed environments, but also designs and manufactures many of the pieces that bring his projects to life at Casa Decor. In collaboration with the designer  Mónica Bartolessis, this year Jaime offers us a contemporary space with a minimalist look , presided over by a large ceramic mural in which the Purple color stands out , which gives the space its name.

As a backdrop, walls covered with decorative panels by Panespol; floor and door jambs in Dekton by Cosentino, the same material used by the artist in the design of the table. Special mention deserves the balanced lighting of Megaman that makes his works stand out, as well as the elegance of the Aromas del Campo lamps that hang from the ceiling.

BTicino Space by Diego Rodríguez

At Casa Decor 2022, as in the  last edition , BTicino has had the prestigious interior designer Diego Rodríguez, at the head of his studio ‘Concepto DR’, to show the latest generation mechanisms of the Italian firm in a unique atmosphere, in where design and technology converge in a perfect symbiosis.

With his usual sophisticated and eclectic style , where everything is thought out in detail, the interior designer has created a Connected Home , with the most innovative series of Living Now mechanisms, as well as the new Classe 300 EOS with Netatmo video door entry system, with integrated Alexa. BTicino’s unique design and Netatmo’s latest technology together offer us a comfortable and energy efficient connected home.

In addition, in this bright room, the Dekton coatings on the floor, walls and ceiling stand out, as well as the natural oak wood, with which an original decorative structure has been created on the ceiling. The firm Bang & Olufsen has also collaborated with the Beovision Contour television.

Bang & Olufsen Space by Disak Studio

In this edition,  Bang & Olufsen has relied on Disak Studio to create the comfortable and elegant Home Cinema room where you can enjoy the Danish firm’s audiovisual products, including the Beovision Harmony television and the Beolab 28 column speakers.

As soon as you enter the space, before reaching the relaxation area, a piece of furniture with a marble top, by Cupa Stone,   serves as a breakfast and fast food area. An espresso machine from Modbar has been placed on it, and inside it has been installed a practical wine cellar from AEG, with bottles from   Dominio Fournier and Tanqueray No. TEN.

Among the pieces of furniture, a large sofa from the Atlanta collection, from the Alexandra Collection , stands out , a design with a three-position comfort system: sitting, relaxed and reclining. In addition, in the configuration of this space, Disak has used noble materials such as leather and wood, as well as warm textiles.

To cover the walls, Tarimatec wood has been used; Regarsa wallpaper ; and a textile lining by Misia Casamance.   They have also collaborated with Kaymanta, with a comfortable rug; Lutron, with home automation; and Orac Decor with 3D ceiling panels, as well as baseboards and cornices that  enrich the space.

Space Sinmas Studio

Match is the living room designed by Sigfrido Serra and Mateo Climent, which we can see on the third floor. A space inspired by its esteemedterreta, with a color range that refers to its traditions. A backlit decorative fireplace, made ofDektonwith blue veins, matching the base, stands out in the space. While the rear wall was covered with an elaborate ceramic mural, byNais.

The interior designers’ proposal is an “all-in-one” capable of adapting to modern life: from reading a book in the shelter of the fireplace, to turning the living room into an improvised gym area with Technogym equipment. A subtle play of reflections from the mirrors goes perfectly with silver pieces, such as the Joquer sofa, the curtains, the foot of the side table and the wall-mounted towel rack, a new design by Tubes Radiatori.

Querencia Studio Space

Natural materials are the main protagonists of Recuerdo, the space designed by María Querencia and Maribel López, from Estudio Querencia. The interior designers say they have been inspired by their memories to design a space that allows them to remember those moments, through the experiences of those who live in it.

Organized in two environments: a living room, with a curved architectural staircase, and a kitchen area, which is entered through an opening covered with Neolith stone, the same material that is repeated on the countertop and the sink. The sensation of visual continuity has been achieved with the microcement in the same tone that covers the floor, walls and ceiling. A large fireplace, in front of the comfortable sofa, creates a serene, warm and welcoming atmosphere. Behind the sofa, a backlit bookcase houses several pictorial works by the artist Rocío Domínguez. The Jung company has also collaborated in the space , with electrical mechanisms.

Space Studio Mo

Rastros is the name of the room thatMarta MeliánandClaudia Ribagorda, membersofStudio Mo,have designed on the fourth floor: a space inspired by the Canary Islands, volcanoes and their rock formations, the sea and its waves, wind and erosion …

The interior designers have created a simple and warm atmosphere, in which the use of natural materials such as corrugated sintered stone panels by  Lapitec are of great importance; the clay paint, by Ecoclay, as well as the light wood flooring and the natural fibers in the upholstery of the armchairs and the curtains.

Other details that make reference to the volcanic formations of the Canary archipelago also stand out in this space, such as the black natural stone, which is evident in the Miapetra washbasin and in the set of auxiliary tables that complete the decoration of this space. The mechanisms and home automation of BTcino allow the control of all the facilities of the space, as well as the lighting.

Marta Labrador Space

“The reminiscences of past times where the traditional architecture of the French and Madrid attic act as a common thread to give way to an attic with a poetic language of chiaroscuro in a contemporary setting”, this is how the interior designer and plastic artist Marta Labrador explains the essence of his Rhetorical Lights project .

The combination of noble wood such as oak with natural textiles, which emphasize the fondness of a past, and the combination of textiles with different geometries, gives a contemporary character to this attic, which seeks  tranquility and well-being for those who occupy it.

In the design of the space, the lighting project stands out, with the electrical mechanisms by Font Barcelona, as well as the lamps, by LZF Lamps, strategically placed on the ceiling and walls, which create a spectacular play of light and shadow. Among the pieces of furniture, the Ormo’s sofa stands out, with geometric shapes. Also worthy of special attention is the designer radiator by Tubes Radiatori; textiles and household items, from Scalpers Home ; and the occasional tables scattered throughout the space, from Sankore Africa .

Sara Torrijos Space

Architect by profession and interior designer by vocation, Sara Torrijos has started her career at Casa Decor with the Allure living room, a warm, relaxed and sophisticated atmosphere, which we can see on the fifth floor of Goya 89.

In this space, without a doubt, the excellent work carried out on the main wall stands out, built with clay bricks baked with ancient techniques, in its most sculptural and sensual version. The wall facing the brick wall was covered with mirrors to give the space greater depth. Sara has managed to recreate a serene and calm atmosphere through natural materials and organic forms, such as Ormo’s sofa, in bouclé wool, made to measure and adapted to the curved shapes of the wall.

At Boca do Lobo, more than the creation of the ultimate luxury furniture, we take pride in embracing our Portuguese cultural heritage – and that means we take the knowledge and craftsmanship of the greatest Portuguese artisans, using ancient techniques to create something spectacular, and yet, timeless. Discover this remarkable element of Portuguese architecture, as well as the peak contemporary design in these luxury furniture pieces using hand-painted tiles, perfect for the Dubai lifestyle!

One of the key aspects of Portuguese architecture and cultural identity is the azulejo, or hand-painted tiles, which can be easily found across Portugal in different types of buildings, both inside and outside. The azulejo is a clay or ceramic plate piece, generally with a square shape decorated with colorful designs which consist, in most cases, of Moorish patterns. However, these hand-painted tiles also often portray scenes from Portuguese history, such as episodes from the Discoveries era, recollecting memories of a distant past and immortalizing Portuguese heritage.

The process is very intricate. The drawing is made on parchment paper that is drawn with a graffiti pen and stamped with a coal pencil in the tile. The paintwork is done with water-based paint; a powder that is mixed with water to work the density. The painting process requires knowledge: not too watery and not too strong. The outline is made from the contour brush, and then the background is painted with a swath brush to highlight the piece. The hand-painted tile goes to the oven and the rest of the coal disappears. The process is complete.
