Through Kingston Lafferty Design studios’ work, they create spaces with feeling, meaning, and character. Spaces where beauty can be appreciated but the realities of everyday life are facilitated. They build brands and modern design graphics to enhance spaces and further impact the overall experience, and that is exactly what occurred in their newest restaurant design in Dublin: The Cinnamon Restaurant. Inspiration and Ideas had got you covered and is about to give you all the inside scoop of this incredible luxury restaurant that is incredibly Instagram worthy.

The restaurant design is almost theatrical – simple shapes become building blocks and buttons to play with, while differing textures encourage touch that draws users to engage with space. This luxury restaurant invites its visitors to become characters in a story. Upon stepping into the pink and maroon dipped room, they experience their environment in fun and unexpected ways, cementing KLD’s success in encouraging us to think differently about this restaurant design.

KLD’s interior design philosophy is grounded in an appreciation for how people live and work. These observations became the foundation for this restaurant design, ensuring those who engage with space may find both meaning and beauty in their encounters. Movement throughout the interior is guided by deep maroon floors which are periodically sliced open by dusty blue circular tiles. This pastiche of color becomes the runway that leads guests into each different microenvironment existing alongside one another.

Four-meter ceilings tower over users as bright sunlight crawls over all surfaces of the entrance. Soft leather couches bend around cozy seating arrangements – the perfect place to wake up slowly with direct sun on a Sunday morning. Suddenly, and as if entering a different contemporary restaurant, 10 steps down the corridor warm sunlight gives way to the moody glow of a hanging pendant. Definitely a restaurant design for pink lovers!

An intimate velvet-covered seat wraps itself around a space carved out of the side of a wall, a setting with ample amounts of personality and drama. Each pocket of space, created by the injection of a new mezzanine, takes on a different and playful personality which facilitates the unique desires of individual customers – human experience clearly the main focus of the restaurant design scheme.

Bespoke light fixtures become oversized lollipops glowing throughout the room. A wall of circular mirrors capture the light before reflecting it onto adjacent high-gloss surfaces – customers sitting beside them encouraged to watch as they shimmer before them. There is experimentation with scale too. The main entrance deliberately maintains a double-height wall while the additional bar was designed as an oversized element that makes visitors feel miniature with “a dollhouse effect”.

There is a new gem hiding in New York and Inspirations and Ideas has all the inside scoop of this interior design project. Designed by the top interior designer, Pierre Yovanovitch, this luxury home promised to enchant any guest that sets foot into this incredible contemporary home, let’s take a tour inside? When Anna Zaoui decided to renovate her family’s pied-á-Terre in Manhattan, a three-bedroom apartment overlooking Central Park, she wasn’t set on a particular style or color palette, but she was certain about one thing: It had to be designed by Pierre Yovanovitch.

“At first he told me he had too many things going on in France. But I thought, It’s him or nobody, so I went to see him again, and finally he said yes.”

recalls Zaoui, cofounder of the online design gallery The Invisible Collection.

Just to make this design project filled even more special, with the freshest and most incredible interior design ideas Pierre Yovanovitch also creates furniture and is part of a small group of contemporary designers whose handmade pieces are as collectible as artworks.

When he first visited Zaoui’s apartment, a 30th-floor aerie inside a renovated condominium on the Upper West Side, Pierre Yovanovitch immediately noticed the stunning views of Central Park. And then he also observed that the layout did not do justice to these views. His design called for a complete reconfiguration of the space, including opening new doors to form an enfilade that draws the eye to certain windows, joining the study and dining room to create a large multipurpose space, and darkening the foyer to enhance the impact of walking into the sun-drenched living room and its sweeping panoramas. The true epitome of modern interiors.

With continued references to fine art, feminism, and her Italian heritage, Maria Grazia Chiuri presents a fully immersive and awe-inspiring show for Dior‘s 2021 collection.

For Dior’s first in-person show since the COVID-19 pandemic rocked the luxury fashion world, Maria Grazia Chiuri made sure to leave her socially-distanced guests with an event to remember. While the creative director often champions female artists (her recent couture collection referenced Dora Maar and Leonora Carrington in its goddess-like garments), Chiuri’s latest presentation uses collage art as its awe-inspiring backdrop of this fashion show.

Dior’s spring-summer 2021 ready-to-wear collection may have been staged at the Jardin des Tuileries as part of Paris Fashion Week, but the creative inspiration was pure Italian. Having recently shown her cruise 2021 collection in Lecce, Puglia, where her father grew up, Chiuri has connected with her heritage again by tapping several Italian talents for this new collection.

First is Lucia Marcucci, a contemporary artist best known for her female-centric collages, which began drawing attention in the 1960s. Approaching her practice like avant-garde poetry, Marcucci not only combines newspaper cutouts and other two-dimensional media, but she also weaves various film clips together in poignant video works in this Dior runway.

The clashing patterns and colors produce a kaleidoscopic effect, much like Marcucci’s stained-glass collages and the choir’s fragmented verses. Somehow, it all works, perfectly encapsulating Chiuri’s ongoing desire to charm and expand her audience’s knowledge through some of the most innovative presentations, compelling narratives, and nuanced influences that the fashion industry has ever seen. What did you think of Dior‘s show and fashion design pieces?
